A quieter month in October for reading as it was very busy on the personal front.

• Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson #2) by Patricia Briggs | 4.5 stars - what a rough world Mercy finds herself a part of.
• Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: The Laughing Corpse, Volume 3: Executioner (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: The Laughing Corpse #3 graphic novel) by Laurell K. Hamilton, Jessica Ruffner (text) and Ron Lim (Illustrations) | 4.5 stars - gruesome 
• Freaks of Greenfield High (Freaks #1) by Maree Anderson | YA | 5 stars - well written & enjoyable read.

Contemporary Romance / Erotic romance

• Mistletoe Not Required by Anne Oliver | 4.5 stars - emotional heart strings pulled as heroine talks of breast cancer.
• A Real Online Fantasy (Hot Down Under) by Cate Ellink | short story | 4.25 stars - one HAWWT read.
